Egypt’s non-oil exports hit $12.3bln in H1 2020

Cairo – Egypt’s non-oil exports rose by $16 million or 1% year-on-year (YoY) to reach $2.021 billion in June, compared to $2.005 billion, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported on Tuesday.

As for the first half (H1) of 2020, the most populous Arab nation’s non-oil exports amounted to $12.319 billion, according to data by the General Organization for Export and Import Control (GOEIC).

Arab countries were the largest market for Egypt’s non-oil exports in H1-20 with a share of $4.570 billion, followed by the European Union (EU) countries with $3.332 billion.

Non-Arab African countries accounted for $1.740 billion of non-oil exports from Egypt, followed by the US with $697 million.
