Mortar Admixture By Swiss Chem :
EUCOLITE :
Waterproofing admixture for mortar :
Description :
EUCOLITE is a waterproofing admixture based on selected raw materials .
EUCOLITE is available in two types as EUCOLITE L in liquid form and as EUCOLITE P in powder form.
Main Purpose :
To achieve a waterproof mortar with high compressive strength and reduced tendency to crack and shrink .For rendering, brickwork mortar, swimming pools, basements ... etc. .
Advantages :
Both types of EUCOLITE are chloride-free The water reducing properties enable higher compressive strengths to be obtained at the same workability . Can be used with all types of Portland cement .

Bulk weight -- 0.95
Chloride content nil nil
Compatibility with cement all types of Portland cement
Shelf life up to 2 years up to one year,
dry and water
closed
Complies with DIN 1084 - part 1
Instructions for use :
External rendering The addition of EUCOLITE L / EUCOLITE P for mortar external rendering will increase the water tightness without impending the breathing of the walls. EUCOLITE L / EUCOLITE P can be used in all types of mortar .
Waterproof rendering ( subject to water pressure) :
1-Preparation of the surface : the surface must be sound, clean and rough .
Any cracks porous patches and defective areas should be cut and repaired as the work proceeds. Infiltration of water must be stopped with EUCOQUICK .
2- First and second coat : mortar : 1:1 (cement : sand 0/3 mm.) .Each coat approx. 4-5 mm thick taking care to cover the surface completely .Dosage 2% EUCOLITE L / EUCOLITE P of the cement weight .
3- Third and forth coat : mortar 1:2 to 1:3 (cement : sand 0/4 or 0/5 mm) . Each coat 7-8 mm thick .Total thickness of rendering approx. . 2-2,5 cm depending on water pressure .
Dosage 1% EUCOLITE L / EUCOLITE P of the cement weight . Each coat has to be applied as soon as the former one has set sufficiently .
Waterproofing Admixture for Mortar :
Dosage 1% EUCOLITE/EUCOLITE P of the cement weight.
Each coat has to be applied as soon as the former one has set sufficiently.
4- Finishing coat: mortar 1:1 rubbed in with float. Use finishing coats without sand only in water tanks, galleries, sewerage systems, and similar constructions .
In rooms exposed to condensation water or heat a finishing coat of lime mortar 5-10 mm thick is recommended (without EUCOLITEL/EUCOLITE P) .
Dosage :
EUCOLITE L and EUCOLITE P
2 % of the cement weight
1 kg per bag of 50 kg cement
Packing
In bags containing 20 kg
In plastic drums containing 200 kg .

EUCOCOLLE :
S B R water proofing and adhesive emulsion for mortar :
Description :
EUCOCOLLE is a water proofing bonding agent and adhesive emulsion for mortar based on (S.B.R) .
Main Purpose :
To achieve considerable adhesion of mortar on concrete surfaces especially for rendering on smooth pre-cast concrete elements .
Advantages :
Better and easier workability .Better water retarding properties minimize cracking incidence .Better abrasion and chemical resistance Higher tensile and compressive strengths.
Mortar is more resistant to water after adding EUCOCOLLE .
Properties :
Appearance liquid
Specific gravity 1,04
solids by volume 29 %
Chloride content nil
Compatibility with cement all types of portland
cement.
Shelf life up to 2 years
Complies with ASTM C-631, C-932
Remarks :
Stir well before use
Instructions For use
1- Preparatory work
Subgrade must be sound, clean and free from traces of form-oil .Any loose particles and laitance must be removed The surface should be thoroughly wetted before hand until complete saturation of the concrete.
2- Bonding coat
2.1 Equal volumes of cement and clean washed sand ,well
graded from 0-4 mm, are mixed with water and 5-10 % EUCOCOLLE of cement weight (or ganging solution of 1:1 EUCOCOLLE : water)to a mortar of stiff consistency .The stiff mortar is vigorously applied with the trowel to a thickness of not less than approx. 4-5 mm.
2.2 When the bonding coat has set, the next coat is applied on the wet bonding coat surface as a double layer of 7-8 mm thickness .
Acrylic water proofing and adhesive emulsion for mortar
3- Floor topping
3.1 The preparation of the surface follows the same rules as described before .
3.2 The ganging solution consists of equal volumes of EUCOCOLLE and water .
3.3 Equal volumes of cement and sand 0/2 to 0/3 mm are mixed with the above ganging solution to a thin plastic mortar .The diluted EUCOCOLLE grout is rubbed into the prepared concrete surface with brushes or stiff broom (apply in strips).
The grout is them evenly trawled on the fresh diluted EUCOCOLLE grout to the required thickness .
Apply firmly with trowel over the whole surface .Minimum thickness 5 mm .
3.4 Stiff mortar made with 5% EUCOCOLLE is applied in one layer to the still fresh grout .The floor topping should have a final thickness of approx. 1,5 cm . The mortar is tamped vigorously and finished with a float .
4- Patching and leveling mortar
Surface treatment, thorough wetting ,preparation of the
EUCOCOLLE bonding coat as well as application of
further mortar layers are basically the same as for floor
toppings and wall rendering .
Remarks
Curing of all types of mortar .
Rendering, floor topping, patching and leveling mortar etc. .
Should be kept moist for 5 days at least to prevent premature
drying out by wind and sun .
Packing
In drums containing 20 and 200 kg

EUCORAPID :
Quick setting admixture :
Description :
EUCORAPID is a quick setting agent for rapid rendering against moderate to severe water infiltration .
Main Purpose :
Used for rapid rendering to isolate and restrict moderate to severe water infiltration on concrete, bricks rock and for all cases where faster setting and early usability is desired or necessary
Properties :
Appearance liquid
Specific gravity 1,23
Chloride content nil
Compatibility with cement all types of Portland
cement
Shelf life up to 1 year
Instruction for use :
Sealing of moderate infiltration EUCORAPID must only be used with ordinary fresh Portland cement and not with special cements . Prepare the cement paste with EUCORAPID in small quantity and use before setting begins . Pour EUCORAPID in a container, add cement and mix for a few seconds (do not over mix) .
Dilution of EUCORAPID 1 : 0 to 1 : 6 with water .Setting begins after 1/2 to 3 minutes at 20o C .
Apply firmly with trowel over the whole surface . Minimum thickness 5 mm .
-Sealing of severe infiltration and against high pressure
Apply the EUCORAPID cement paste as above, in such way that water is concentrated at the points of greatest infiltration .
Insert shortLengths of plastic tube set in EUCORAPID and cement and complete preliminary waterproofing .These discharge pipes prevent the surrounding mortar from being subjected to pressure until properly set .
The application of the waterproof rendering can start as soon as the EUCORAPID mortar is strong enough (6-12 hours) The short lengths of plastic tube should not be removed until at least 24 hours after the application of the waterproof rendering .The holes are then made good with plug of cement and EUCORAPID or if the pressure is severe wit neat EUCOQUICK and cement .
The final coat of the EUCOLITE rendering is then applied over the whole surface making sure that there is at least 1 cm of cover over the plugs .
The preliminary waterproofing with EUCORAPID must always be protected by a normal setting rendering of EUCOLITE or by gunite or concrete .
Packing :
In drums containing 10 , 20 and 200 kg . .
